Job #1 – Basic “Refreshing” - We will replace up to 5 pads, necessary key corks and felts, reseat pads as necessary, recork 2 tenons or 1 sax neck, and lubricate and adjust the instrument. Clean where possible w/o further disassembly.
Job #2 - Clean/oil/adjust (C.O.A.) We will completely disassemble the instrument, thoroughly clean inside and out, reassemble with fresh lubricants and adjust for top performance. An extra charge will be assessed for any pads/corks/felts/springs that need replacement. Note: keys will be cleaned by hand as much as possible without damaging/removing existing pads and corks.
Job #3 – Playing condition (P.C.) - We will replace up to 50% of pads, any necessary corks and felts, one or two springs, reseat remaining pads and lubricate and adjust the instrument. Cleaning where possible without further disassembly. Additional charge for extra labor if needed to match existing resonators on saxes.
Job #4 – Standard Repad - We will disassemble the instrument, replace ALL pads, all necessary key corks and felts, all necessary tenon and neck corks. The instrument will be cleaned inside and out, lubricated and adjusted. ONLY FOR NEWER INSTRUMENTS WITH MINIMAL MECHANICAL WEAR!!
Job #5 - Overhaul - We will replace ALL pads; corks, felts, tenon or neck corks, springs where necessary. All keys
will be adjusted for mechanical wear, where possible. Minor dents will be removed. The instrument will be cleaned inside and out, lubricated and adjusted. RECOMMENDED FOR OLDER INSTRUMENTS WITH MECHANICAL WEAR. DOES NOT INCLUDE RELAQUER ON SAXOPHONES, OR POLISHING OF FLUTES OR CLARINETS.
Job #6 – Pro Overhaul – Our best! Only the best quality pads and materials, hand selected to match your instrument. Key work hand adjusted to fit like new. Wooden instruments oiled and conditioned using only organic oils. Instrument is adjusted, sprung and voiced to play the best that it can. Unconditional guarantee for quality of workmanship. Cosmetics (polishing), dents MAY BE extra. Due to the nature of this type of work, the price listed is a base price, subject to individual special work and materials needed on each instrument. Pull, clean, and lubricate stuck tuning slides. $18 per slide and up
Remove small crease in trumpet or trombone bell $18 and up
Remove minor dents in trombone slide (includes alignment ) $35 and up
Solder 1 brace $18 and up
Lift typical trombone tuning slide dents $35 and up
Chemical clean trumpet and lube, new felts, etc $75
(does NOT include pulling badly stuck slides, soldering, dents, etc.)
Chem clean tenor trombone, single F horn $90
Chem clean large valve brass ( dbl. horn, b. horn, etc.) $129
